I found this procedure to be spot on, and for the right reasons.
Retuned my 1982 Chevrolet 454 with a 750 Edelbrock using this and the exhaust cleaned up nicely. Produced 18+ inches of vacuum at 850 rpm, then set the idle to 650rpm. www.fordmuscle.com/archives/2005/08/EdelbrockCarburetor/ Karl Fortner Tacoma, Wa. Gadgetman Tacoma |

Just checked the metering rods on the Edelbrock 1411 to see what I can go to for reducing fuel feed.
Currently .075/.047, checked Edelbrock and that is the largest they have for that carb. Will play with the timing next. Could use some input, would I want to ignite earlier or later to get the best burn results? Karl Fortner Tacoma, Wa. |
