We recently purchased a 2006 Equinox - for my wife. It required head gskts due to fire ring problems on 2 cylinders. After haveing the heads checked and milled, I grooved them with the Singh Groove - look it up under www.singhgroove.com - I think. The car has been running well, so it was time to put the Groove to it.
This has the electronic TB, so, to make a long story short, I determined where to put the groove using a GM scan tool - approx 15% to 16%. At idle, the throttle plate now rests around 3%. Anyway, cut the groove and let the fuel trims reset. Short term fuel trim -3% Long term fuel trim -13% left exh man temp - pre 470 post 380 cat temp - pre 420 post 410 Obviously my temp readings need work and I need experience on these readings. Thanks Dan for your help in making sure I cut the groove in the right spot. Looking forward to Ron and Debbie's arrival this week! Scott Castleberg Pellston, MI Gadgetman Michigan |
