I would be interested in seeing data on 2-stroke engines. Gensets, motorcycles, leaf blowers, trimmers, anything would be good!

Check out the off-road section of the forum. I have a couple posts there with videos on chainsaws and two-cycle boat engines. Give me a call if you want to discuss.

Hi Lee,

There is a topic in the "Off-Road" category by Nick Reitter where he has grooved a Stihl chain saw.

I think his test method was pretty solid and if you apply his results to a much bigger timeline the effects can be interesting.

Does anyone have any experience with motorcycles? (aside from the 1 Ron did a long time ago that didn't see any gains). And if no experience, any advice/suggestions/comments?

Hey Jonathan!

I have actually done two motorcycles. BOTH showed improvements, but neither bothered to get back to me with their mileage. Still, emissions were dropped DRAMATICALLY in both cases, and there was a noticeable increase in power.

So, just yank the carb or throttle assembly and cut The Groove!

Thanks Ron. I'm glad I was wrong about the results you got. I'm looking forward to getting one grooved.
