Good luck with that one Markus, I was looking into that here in Washington but the places in the area all switched to electrics... what's up with that?

even at full throttle, as the air is drawn past the groove, one would think that the barometric pressure in the groove would be lowered enough to draw air into it.
One of the guys did his chain saw and ran tests at full throttle and did note improvements. Granted, getting 3/4 of a second improvement on a 3 stroke cut doesn't seem like a lot but if you apply that difference to a go-cart doing laps and calculate that out to an entire years worth of use, the gains should be easier to express. Make believers out of them... Karl Fortner Tacoma, Wa. Gadgetman Tacoma |

these carts have a rev stoper. I realice now that i shuld have unscrewd the idle screw to bring groove back a little and inprove idle consumption as they stand and idle a lot,
I will now start to smothern out the tb plate as uneveness might create turbulance that would affect the groove winds. |

I think your idle would be okay, as long as there is air going past the groove it is having some effect on the fuel comsumption.
I have a kart track here in Washington that uses the Birel N35 with the Honda 9hp 4 stroke. It would be a good foot in the door if your customer has all of theirs done. Either way, I'll pay them a visit. It's already sounding like a win, let's hope they see the long term value. Karl Fortner Tacoma, Wa. Gadgetman Tacoma |
